GENERAL

Why merge with Arrowhead?
The BEFCU Board and team considered several credit unions. After spending time with each, they felt Arrowhead Credit Union’s service culture and organizational values were the best fit. Merging will provide members with a highly competitive lineup of products and services, including financial planning assistance through a third-party partner, Saturday call center hours, and instant-issue debit and credit cards. In addition, they have 19 branches (15 of which serve the Inland Empire) and over 500 team members (which the BEFCU staff has become part of) who specialize in providing you with world-class service.

When will my account(s) convert to Arrowhead Credit Union?
Your BEFCU account(s) converted to Arrowhead account(s) on March 1, 2025.

Can I keep using my Bourns account(s)?
No, as of March 1, your Bourns EFCU accounts are now Arrowhead accounts.

MEMBERSHIP

Will the merger affect membership eligibility?
There will be no effect on membership eligibility. The combined credit unions will continue to serve all groups and areas under each credit union’s existing charter.

Do I need to pay a membership fee?
No, you automatically became an Arrowhead member and don't need to pay a membership fee.

Will my years of membership carry over?
Yes, you will maintain your years of membership.

When will I receive my Arrowhead account information?
We sent your account information the first week of February in your Member Guide packet. If you did not receive this packet, please call (800) 743-7228 and a new one will be mailed to you.

You can also request your member number and register or log in to digital banking to get account details.

CREDIT CARDS

Will my due date for my credit card payment remain the same?
Your new payment due date will be the 25th of the month. Your first Arrowhead credit card payment will be due March 25.

What if I chose not to convert to an Arrowhead Visa?
If you chose to reject the Arrowhead Visa, you will still be responsible for paying your Bourns EFCU Visa balance as agreed.

Is the balance from my Bourns EFCU Visa at the Bourns EFCU rate or the new Arrowhead rate?
If you had a balance on your Bourns EFCU Visa at the close of business on February 28, 2025, it will move over to your new Arrowhead Visa and be managed under your Bourns EFCU terms. Any transactions made on or after March 1 will have a variable rate, which is currently 14.24% APR.1

Please refer to your Change in Terms notice that was mailed at the beginning of January for more information specific to you.

Do I need to update my automatic payments?
Yes. If an automatic payment was made using your Bourns EFCU Visa, you'll need to set up the payment again with your new Arrowhead card.

Any automatic payments set up through Bourns EFCU digital banking needs to be updated in Arrowhead digital banking.

What are the benefits of the Arrowhead Visa?
The Arrowhead Visa has no annual fee, cash advance fee, or balance transfer fee.1 Plus, you'll get your FICO ® score free, updated monthly on your statements.2

Can I use my Arrowhead Visa as overdraft protection for my checking?
Yes, a great feature of the Arrowhead Visa is that you can use it as an overdraft protection3 source for your Arrowhead checking account.

I didn't recive my Arrowhead Visa, how do I request it?
Your credit card was mailed to you in February. If you didn't receive your card, please call (800) 743-7228 and a replacement will be mailed to you, or visit a branch and we can issue you one right there in the branch!

What will happened to my ScoreCard Rewards?
Regardless of whether you chose to convert your Bourns EFCU Visa to an Arrowhead Visa, the BEFCU Visa ScoreCard Rewards Program discontinued on February 28, 2025. In exchange, we will provide you with cashback equivalent to the current cash value of the reward points accumulated in your account as of February 28, 2025.

How will I receive my ScoreCard Rewards money?
You’ll see this deposited in your Arrowhead account or you'll receive a check by April 30, 2025.

Can I still purchase items with my ScoreCard reward points?
If you would like to make a purchase with your reward points, please do so before February 28, 2025, by logging into Bourns EFCU online banking or the mobile app and navigating to Rewards on the menu tab or visiting scorecardrewards.com.

BRANCHES & ATMS

Will the Bourns branches stay open after the merger?
No, the branches permanently closed on February 28. You can use any of the 19 Arrowhead branches, more than 5,000 shared branches, and 30,000 fee-free ATMs nationwide. Find a convenient location by visiting our Find Us page.

Which ATMs can I use?
You can continue accessing CO-OP's surcharge-free ATMs, which include all Arrowhead ATMs.

When can I use Arrowhead branches?
You can now visit any Arrowhead branch.  Locate the most convenient branch on our Find Us page.

ONLINE & MOBILE BANKING

Will my outstanding bill pay clear my account?
Outstanding bill pay scheduled before February 28 will clear, but any payments scheduled after February 28 will need to be set up in Arrowhead’s digital banking.


When will bill pay debit my account?
Funds are debited from your account on the day the payment is scheduled. Allow up to 7 days for the first payment to be received by the payee.


Where do I log into digital banking?
You can now register and log into digital banking using the Register button on the Arrowhead homepage or in our mobile app.


How do I get the mobile banking app?
Our mobile banking app is available for Apple devices in the App StoreSM and Android devices in Google PlayTM.

Do I need a new username and password?
Yes, you will need to register for digital banking with Arrowhead using your Arrowhead member number and some other basic identifying information. Your member number was mailed to you the first week of February.

You can also request your member number and register for digital banking.

Can I see my transaction history now that my account(s) transferred to Arrowhead?
Your last 18 months of statements are available in digital banking, but your transaction history before your accounts converted to Arrowhead will not appear in your dashboard within digital banking.

Did my alerts from Bourns EFCU convert?
No, but we have many alerts in digital banking that you can choose from and customize to fit your banking needs.

How do I enroll in eStatements?
You can through digital banking once you complete your registration.

 

CHECKING

If I have overdraft transfer protection at Bourns EFCU, will it transfer when my accounts move to Arrowhead?
Yes, if you had overdraft transfer protection with Bourns EFCU, it transferred over to Arrowhead. If you don’t want your accounts set up this way, please call (800) 743-7228.

Did my direct deposit automatically transfer over?
Yes, direct deposits you had set up with BEFCU transferred over to your Arrowhead account(s).

Will my outstanding Bourns EFCU checks still clear my account?
Yes, your BEFCU outstanding checks will be withdrawn from the available funds in your account whether they are presented for payment before or after March 1. We recommend you use your Arrowhead checks starting now. Once you start using your Arrowhead checks, you'll be able to see images of your cleared checks within digital banking.

Will I receive new checks? If so, when?
Yes, you should have received a packet in the mail the first week of February, containing eight starter checks and Arrowhead account information. If you would like a box of checks, just let us know by calling (800) 743-7228 — the first one is on us!

Do my Bourns EFCU checks still work?
Yes, but we encourage you to switch to your Arrowhead checks. If you would like a box of checks, just let us know by calling (800) 743-7228 — the first one is on us!

Is there a monthly fee for the Arrowhead Checking account?
Arrowhead Checking has no monthly maintenance fee when enrolled in eStatements. Enroll in eStatements by March 31 to waive the $5 monthly fee.

Did my routing number change?
Yes, your new routing number is 322282603.

How do I find my Arrowhead Checking account number?
It was included with your Member Guide, which was mailed to you the first week in February. You can also access your checking account details once you register in digital banking.

SAVINGS

Did recurring transfers between my Bourns EFCU accounts carry over to my Arrowhead accounts?
It depends. If you set up the transfer initially in a branch or over the phone, it carried over. If you set a transfer up in Bourns EFCU online banking, you will need to set it up again in Arrowhead digital banking.

Can I have a direct deposit go to my Arrowhead Savings?
Yes, you can have funds directly deposited into your Arrowhead Savings account. Use the electronic account number included in your Member Guide, which you will receive the first week of February.

What are your savings rates?

How do I waive the monthly maintenance fee on my Arrowhead Savings?
Five dollars is required to maintain your Arrowhead Savings account. Maintaining a $300+ average balance or a $25 recurring monthly deposit waives the $3 monthly fee.

Please note that you have a 6-month grace period of these requirements and we will waive the monthly maintenance fee of $3 during this grace period. For members aged 17 or younger or 60 and above, we will automatically waive this monthly fee.

LOANS

How do I make my loan payment to Arrowhead?
You can make payments in digital banking, online, in a branch, or by calling us at (800) 743-7228.

Did my interest rate on my loan remain the same?
Yes, your interest rate(s) remained the same on BEFCU loan balances, including credit card balances, that transferred over. Any new balances on credit cards or newly funded loans will be at Arrowhead's current rates.

Is my loan term the same?
Yes, your BEFCU loan term remained the same when it moved to Arrowhead.

How do I open a new loan?
You can apply online, visit a branch, or call us at (800) 743-7228.

Did my automatic payments carry over?
Any automatic payments or transfers set up in online banking from your Bourns EFCU account(s) will need to be set up again in our digital banking..

Will I receive an updated DMV registration for my auto loan?
Yes, you will receive a new registration card from the DMV showing "Arrowhead Central Credit Union" as your lien holder. This will happen automatically; you won’t need to do anything differently.

MORTGAGES

I had a mortgage with Bourns EFCU; who is mortgage be with now?
Your mortgage is now with Arrowhead. Dovenmuehle Mortgage Inc. (DMI) is Arrowhead's servicer for mortgages. You should have received a welcome letter explaining this change.

If you did not receive the letter, please call us at (800) 743-7228 during normal business hours.

How do I pay my mortgage?
You may pay your mortgage through any of the following methods:

  1. Online payments through DMl's Payment Portal
  2. Sign up for the Automatic Payment Program
  3. Call us at (800) 743-7228 
  4. Payments by mail to:
    Arrowhead Credit Union (by Dovenmuehle Mortgage, Inc.)
    PO Box 7168
    Pasadena, CA 91109-7168
  5. Visit your nearest Arrowhead branch.
